$2.7 Billion profit last QUARTER, but across the board rate hikes of up to 39%.

Average rate increases of 25%, yet they tell us they are raising rates because of the economy???

The best real ‘insurance’ is to keep yourself healthy.
Eat well, avoid chemicals, exercise, and get adjusted.

Public-health officials are scaling back official recommendations for the painkiller to target a narrower group of patients who are at risk of a heart attack or stroke. The concern is that aspirin’s side effects, which can include bleeding ulcers, might outweigh the potential benefits when taken by many healthy or older people.

Report: Avandia’s Maker Knew Of Heart Effects

Glaxo Smith Kline knew as early as several years ago that its diabetes drug, Avandia, might cause heart damage, according to a newly released congressional report.
The pharmaceutical giant also allegedly pressed doctors to retract warnings about the side effects.
Avandia remains on pharmacy shelves. Glaxo says it rejects conclusions that Avandia is risky for patients.

    From the peer reviewed JVSR:

Conclusion: While under chiropractic care subjective and objective improvements in physical, mental and social well-being were documented in a patient with a history of depression, asthma, high stress, mood and gastrointestinal changes

    Comment:
It is important to note the ‘intervention’ applied was not symptom focused, rather it focused only on correcting vertebral subluxation, which leads to major stress on the central nervous system.
We live in a ’symptom focused’ society. Our Western health care mindset has taught us to focus on symptoms, at the expense of ensuring our bodies are functioning at 100%.

Depression is a major illness in our society. The drugs are often more dangerous than the actual depression they are supposed to treat.
Vertebral subluxations in the upper neck area can disrupt brain chemistry, negatively effect serotonin levels, and lead to depression.
Fish Oil is showing great promise as a preventative measure for Depression as well. Why? Again, because Fish Oil is great for the central nervous system.

More than half of the nation’s medical residency programs to train doctors in internal medicine accepted financial support from the drug industry, even though three-fourths of the programs’ directors said accepting the aid was “not desirable,” a survey found.

At issue are potential conflicts of interest as the residency programs accept drug company support to help train tens of thousands of new doctors at a point in their careers when they are beginning to prescribe drugs, according to the survey report.

Gerry sustained a whiplash injury, with only minor symptoms initially…
Years later, after the accident set in motion the process of degeneration, she had to have neck surgery.
Long story short, she comes in to see me, with an old injury, the surgery to work around etc…
But the power of the body to heal (when in alignment) was released, and Gerry has this to say:

Specific, very gentle adjustments of a child’s spine, if a subluxation exists in the area, can have a profound impact on the health of a child…
We’ve seen dramatic changes with kids and colic, ear infections, asthma and many other conditions that can have as their primary cause a vertebral subluxation of the atlas and/or axis vertebra.

But here’s a German study from the prestigious Forensic Science journal discussing the probable relationship between a subluxation in a child’s upper neck and its association with Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

    Read the excerpts below:

“The chiropractic therapy has proven to be a successful technique which can be used to
treat disorders, especially cerebral disturbances of motor patterns of various etiology
(wryneck, c-scoliosis, irritation of the plexus brachialis), sensomotoric disturbances of
integration ability (retardation of sensation and coordination), as well as pain related entities such as cry-babies with ‘3-month colic’ or hyperactivity with sleeplessness.”
“In older children disturbances of this kind are known as retardation of development in
motor patterns as well as in sensory abilities.”

The epidemiological prevalence of such disturbances is as high as 17.8% of children.

“Chiropractic treatment seems to be the most successful therapy which helps to treat
    such disorders.”

“Therefore, chiropractic treatment and manual therapy have become increasingly popular over the past decade.”

“We can report more that 20,000 children treated without serious complications.”

“Thus, our findings are consistent with the possibility that a minor mechanical irritation of the cervical region may trigger the first step in the events that lead to SID.”

“Children with a disturbed symmetry of the atlanto-occipital region could be of higher risk for SID.”
